The Digest

Mudsock game

Final score: HSE 35-34

The annual Mudsock game lived up to the hype. The game came down to a kick by HSE to win the game. Fishers came back in the second half, but a failed 2-point conversion meant all HSE had to do to win the game was a PAT kick. HSE got the job done. An incredible game overall.

Water flushing 🚰

Indiana American Water flushes water mains in its distribution system each year by opening hydrants. Northern parts of Fishers might experience this starting this week. You can type in your address here to check for alerts.

You may notice a slight drop in water pressure or temporary water discoloration when it does. If your tap water turns a funky color, run several cold-water faucets until it's clear.

Business: postcards

Who said letter writing was dead?

Fishers' own Erica Seabaugh is changing the game with Postbook*, a postcard exchange and journal. It's all about connecting kids and older adults, and guess what? It's nationally recognized.

  • Born from a pandemic pastime, it's now an award-winning tool to fight loneliness

  • Each kit? Two journals, postcards, and prompts to get the convo flowing.

  • Next up? A Grandparent Kit and even group-based editions.

Postbook is old-school cool for the tech-free crowd.
