It’s easier to update than you think 🪄*

It’s funny how we get used to things. The kitchen you see every morning, cabinets you don’t notice anymore, walls that fade into the background over time.

Sometimes, we don’t realize just how much a space can be transformed with a small change 🤏 Imagine stepping into a kitchen that feels fresh, current, unmistakably yours—without a full renovation.

With Spray-Net, that’s easier than you might think. A quick update with our proprietary paint solutions can make your kitchen feel brand new, like a part of your home you’re seeing for the first time. All backed by an industry leading 15 year warranty.

Curious? Take a look at what’s possible, and book a free design consultation with Rodney to start your own transformation.

96th Street Roundabout: Are We Feeling the Flow?

After swapping the Michigan Left for a roundabout at 96th and Allisonville, we checked in to see if you’re happier with the change. Most of you (59%) gave it a thumbs-up, but the feedback? Bumper-to-bumper (sorry for the dad joke)

“It’s Kinda Better, But…” That was the top vibe. Fans agree that, in theory, roundabout > Michigan Left. But even some yes-voters had mixed feelings agreeing with the no’s, noting that it’s too small, prone to congestion, full of close calls, and practically tangled up with nearby stoplights.

Thank you x1,000,000 for each and every one of you who participated in the poll and left feedback. You’re the best 🙏

Add this anecdote to your library

We’ve all seen the endless lists of “best place to live” “safest place to live”. But what about “least likely risk of climate disasters”?

“Hey man, why do you live in Indiana? It’s so boring there!” - Average Indiana hater

“Because I prefer my natural disasters on TV, thanks.“- You, an informed reader of Fishers Digest

“Weird reason but alright”….

🏫 To Charter or Not to Charter?

HSE Schools are debating Fishers Prep, a proposed charter high school aiming to grow more Career and Technical Education programs. The org proposing it is a non-profit from Nebraska.

  • The Pitch: Build a charter school that can support 500-600 students

  • The Pushback: This week’s public hearing saw 20 speakers unanimously opposed, citing funding concerns and impact on HSE resources.

Larry in Fishers does an awesome job covering this if you want more specifics.

Next Up: A community forum on Nov. 21 at Launch Fishers Theatre, with a final board vote on Dec. 11.

The Happenings

Your weekend preview 📆

LibraryCon 📚️

Fishers Library is throwing its first-ever LibraryCon this Saturday, 10 am–2 pm, and it’s packed with all-ages, fandom-fueled fun:

  • ⚔️ Fandom Face-Off: Show off your trivia skills in categories like Pokémon, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. Top three teams win prizes—bring your A-game!

  • 🎶 Live Performances: Catch The Threepios with their Star Wars rock tribute and jam to anime and video game covers by Eric Salazar and Li-Wen Weng.

  • 🧵 Cosplay & Crafts: Join workshops to make dice bracelets, no-sew capes, or a manga button. And yes, there’s a cosplay contest and parade.

  • 🍟 Snack + Chill: Food trucks and a sensory-friendly space for when you need a break from all the excitement.

Plus, snap selfies with Star Wars characters, hit up the game truck, or visit the Artist Marketplace for unique fan art.

🎨🍺 Pints & Paints: Holiday Edition

This Sunday, Sun King Fishers will bring you beer-fueled holiday masterpieces. Pick a pre-sketched canvas (Grinch hand, snowy pines, your pet—whatever), sip a pint, and create something fridge-worthy. No skills required, just holiday vibes.

DIY wreath-making

Get into the holiday spirit at Spencer Farm Winery with a DIY holiday wreath-making workshop. The class is Sunday from 2:30-5:30 pm and includes your first beverage! They’ll have all you need to create a nice entry piece, including an evergreen wreath, a bow, and a selection of festive decorations at the decor bar. Grab your ticket here.

Shop local

The Noblesville Moose Holiday Market is happening this Saturday from 10 am - 2 pm. This is a great opportunity to shop local vendors — and don’t miss breakfast at 9 am!

What should you do with leftover pumpkins?

Making the leap from Halloween to holiday décor? No need to trash your pumpkins—give them a second life!

🐷 Donate ‘em! The pigs at Oinking Acres in Brownsburg are huge pumpkin fans. Drop off whole, uncarved, and unpainted pumpkins in the crate by the sanctuary’s sign. Bonus: while you're there, consider starting a new Thanksgiving tradition and sponsor a turkey!

🌿 Compost ‘em! A friendly green tip: composting your pumpkins is easy! Just dig out the seeds unless you’re hoping for a surprise pumpkin patch next year.

🏛️ Coming soon: Fishers City Council Meeting

When: Monday, Nov. 18 | 7 PM
Where: Fishers Municipal Center (or stream on YouTube)
What: Agenda here. Lots of things like a public hearing for the southeast Fishers (Fortville area) annexation, Andretti agreements, Balmoral Village reading, and more.

Local Business

Pickleball court explosion - might have nailed it 🥒

  1. Seeing the old Marsh (now 24/7 Dink) on 116th/Brooks School with the entire front side missing has been pretty cool

  2. I thought it was too much. Do we really need multiple mega-facilities with bars, 24/7 access, and multiple locations?

Turns out, yeah. A new report shows: demand is way outpacing supply. It estimates $855M is needed over the next 5 years to add 24,500 courts and keep up with demand.

Here’s our local lineup that’s coming soon:

  • 24/7 Dink (Fishers): A 60,000-square-foot, 20-court facility open day and night.

  • Chicken N Pickle (Fishers): Indoor/outdoor courts plus food, drinks, and social vibes.

  • The Picklr (Noblesville): 57,000 square feet with 19 courts, part-owned by Drew Brees.

Looks like Fishers was onto something.

Where to play billiards? 🎱

A reader asked if we knew of any spots where families under 21 can play billiards. I didn’t have a good answer.

So I’d love to crowdsource help from you — do you know of any spots that are under-21 friendly? If so, reply to this email and I’ll share! Thank you!
