They did it! The Indiana Hoosiers won their first college football national championship in dramatic fashion, holding off Miami 27-21. I was lucky enough to be one of thousands of Hoosier fans at the game, and despite the game being at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, there was a sea of red that ensured it wouldn’t be a road environment for Indiana.

The Hoosiers did something no team in modern college football history had ever done, going a perfect 16-0. Now begs the question… has IU officially become a football school?

Indiana Football announced last night on their social media they will hold a celebration on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m at Memorial Stadium.

Trinity Custom Golf is a new private golf facility and pro shop that just opened in Fishers, and I got to check it out firsthand. It has three simulators with state-of-the-art technology that you can access seven days a week with your membership.

There is also a pro shop of unique and cool golf gear that you can’t just find anywhere. It had great gifts for golfers and even pickleball players.

What blew me away was meeting the owner, 22-year-old Dillon Letendre. He’s an HSE grad and stands on a “why” that is much bigger than golf.

Dillon’s father was killed in action and to honor him, he has created his own golf shoe and polo shirts. He donates the proceeds back to America’s Gold Star Families and also supports families of fallen first responders killed in the line of duty.
