The Digest
White River Park coming this fall 🚣♀️
I’d argue one of the highlights of Fishers is the park system. And newest to the roster will be White River Park - just west of the 96th Street and Allisonville Road intersection! It will feature over 120 acres of parkland, and 5000 feet of riverfront land. Here’s a few amenities to expect:
Disc Golf Course
Kayak Launch
Terraced Rain Garden
Creek stomping area
Boardwalks
It will open up sometime this fall!
New Roundabout coming to 113th/Olio Road

Carmel may soon need to step aside, Fishers is becoming the roundabout city (even though we still don’t have a full week dedicated to celebrating them like they do)
Hamilton County was just awarded ~$3.8 million to put a three leg roundabout at 113th/Olio Road.
If you’re familiar with this area, you know this can be a pretty scary left turn. It’s really the case for any of these spots up and down the right side of Olio with no stoplight.
Building will start in 2028, so don’t get too excited about this happening soon. The rest of the ~$8 million total they received will go towards other projects in Noblesville. Like a 4 mile trail from Potters Bridge to Cicero.

Voodoo Brewing coming to Fishers 🍻

8729 Front St., Fishers (right across the street from Lantern Road Elementary)
This summer, expect a new brewery to Fishers at 106th Street/Lantern Road. Voodoo Brewing.
David Rivotto, an HSE grad, is franchising it from the Pennsylvania based company.
They plan to open this summer, and will have a 4,000 sq foot outdoor space!
The InterContinental Hotel in downtown Indy is now open

The first luxury hotel to grace Indy in the past two decades is here. The InterContinental Indy.
It took $120 million in restorations to bring this 100 year old building back to life. I’ve seen some videos and photos of the rooftop bar (Astrea) and wow, I bet this will be a fun place to be.
📝 For history enjoyers: This blog by historic Indianapolis in 2013 does a fun job with photos and context of how empty, dark, and sad the building was just 10 years ago.
Curated picks 📆
