A traveling memorial coming to Fishers 🇺🇸

The Fallen Heroes Memorial, a traveling memorial of 7,065 dog tags, will be displayed at Cyntheanne Christian Church in Fishers on Nov. 7 from 8 am - 8 pm

The memorial comes courtesy of Veterans & Athletes United. Each dog tag is compiled to create an image of the American flag, and tells a personal story of sacrifice and heroism. The memorial has traveled to more than 100 locations around the nation since 2018.

They are currently looking for past and present service members to stand guard at the monument for the day of Nov. 8.

Coffee Shops in Fishers ☕️

Fishers is blessed with many awesome coffee shops. The past few weeks, Lindsey and I have been putting together a local coffee guide for Fishers. What to order, where to go to meet people, where to work, reviews. It’s all there.

But there’s one more missing piece. Your opinion! Let us know where your go-to is, and bonus if you’re willing to share your go to order and why you like it. Your input will help create the best-curated list for everyone to enjoy. 🤝

Local Business

The top pizza place in Fishers (according to Yelp)

Let me preface this by saying in this newsletter, we tried and reviewed I Tre Mori after receiving over 10 recommendations to do so. In that review, we agreed saying it’s likely the best pizza you can get in a Fishers zip code.

Turns out, we were all right. I Tre Mori made 35th out of 100 in Yelp’s top 100 pizza places in the midwest 🔥

And as if having one pizza joint in all of the midwest on the list wasn’t enough, Fishers has a SECOND place: Passione pizza. They made 60th out of 100. No joke of a ranking. We’ve never been, but it’s just shot up the list to see if we agree with that too.

You can check out the full 100 places here, which includes six other pizza joints in Indiana.

An election poll we can all get behind

Parlor Doughnuts is holding a vote to crown the official Fishers flavor, choosing between two specialty doughnuts. Vote on their instagram page for your favorite, which will only available at the Fishers location! Will it be…

🍓 The 317 Jam: Peanut butter glaze, filled with strawberry jam, and topped with crushed potato chips for that sweet-salty crunch.

🍪 The Nickel Plate: Cookie butter glaze, cookie crumble, and a drizzle of chocolate and even more cookie butter

So far, The Nickel Plate has it with 61%! Call us crazy but we’re voting for the 317 Jam.

Westfield buys a golf course ⛳️

The City of Westfield is the proud new owners of the Wood Wind Golf Club. For the cool price of 3.1 million, they acquired everything like the course, clubhouse, pickleball courts, and pavilion.

They join the ranks of Carmel and Noblesville, who also own a courses. Carmel owns Brookshire Golf Club, and Noblesville owns both Fox Prairie and Forest Park.

Fun fact: This purchase makes Fishers the only Second-Class city in Hamilton County to not own a golf course. That’s okay. We still have a course guide for golfing in Fishers.
