Did Fishers Fall Off? 🏙️

This is only kind of true 😂 Fishers did not get a spot on Livability’s 2025 Top 100 Places to Live survey because the publication decided that if two closely ranked cities are near each other, the higher-scoring one will be the only one to rank.

If that new rule weren’t in play, Fishers would be #3 this year. A slight boost from last year’s #4 spot.

In writing this newsletter, I’ve met exactly one person who shared they came to Fishers because of one of these lists. I’m sure there has to be more. Reply to this email and tell me if you moved to Fishers because of a ranking list like this!

Local Business

What is Angelo’s Pasta big announcement?

I want in on the secret. Their latest Instagram post says they have BIG NEWS with a second location coming soon. The pasta-bilities are endless. Will it be Carmel? Noblesville? Indianapolis? Chicago?!?

I must know. Take reading this as your sign to try them out. They’re really good! You’ll find them in downtown Fishers on Maple Street.

Who are the top companies to work for in Fishers? 💼

Every year, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce releases a list of employers that might deserve a spot on your job-hunt radar. And if nothing else, these brag-worthy rankings help businesses lure talent here.

Four companies in Fishers scored top spots, and one snagged a top prize:

  • Ultimate Technologies Group — #1 Small-Medium Size

  • Miebach — Small Companies

  • Meyer Najem — Medium Companies

  • INCOG BioPharma — Top-40 Medium

Coffee Trail Returns ☕️

Fishers’ caffeine lovers have spoken. 96% voted in favor of doing a 2025 Edition Fishers Coffee Trail. So here we are.

Like last year, I’ve only added mainstream coffee shops. You could argue that Parlor Doughnuts, Mochi Joy, and maybe even Cafe Patachou types should be on this list. You’d probably be right, but it would make for an unwieldy voting list.

So instead of an official seat at the table, you can vote the “Other” option and respond with the name of the shop or place you vote for. I’m secretly hoping you’ll share some hidden gems. Maybe that can be a category?

The rules are easy. Vote for your favorite shop and leave the rest to us for an updated guide. Please share this with your friends so we can get the most accurate community-voted list! 🤌

Can you help clear the kennels? 🐾

Hamilton County’s shelter is bursting at the seams, so they’re dropping adult pet adoptions to $10 to avoid heartbreaking choices.

When & Where: Starting noon–5 pm this Saturday, May 17, swing by 10501 Hague Rd., Fishers.

Why It Matters: Intakes now outpace adoptions, and some dogs have waited 70–80 days for a family.

What’s in it for you? Besides an outstanding new family member, all the pricey stuff like spay/neuter, chip, shots, flea meds, vet voucher & starter chow comes already sorted. 🥳
