The Digest

Goal = smashed. $47,750 for the pups 🐶 ❤️ 

On Saturday, the Hamilton County Humane Society had a goal of raising $35,000 to continue to save and re-home animals in Hamilton County. They smashed that with $47,750 raised 📈 

But they still have so many animals to take care of. Staff members are keeping animals in their office. They are a no-kill shelter, meaning every animal that comes in is given the best chance at life.

If you couldn’t make it and want to support them, there’s a few ways you can:

• Fostering a dog or cat

• Adopting one of their animals

• Donating — this month every donation is matched dollar for dollar.

They deserve all the support we can give 👏 

T-4 days until Penn and Beech

Almost a year ago, Penn and Beech announced they would open a location in Fishers. This Saturday (June 15th) they officially open 🎉 The first 22 people to enter the shop at 10 am will get a free candle pour.

Could the Nickel Plate Trail be even better?

Indy’s City Council is applying for a grant that would help them build a bridge across 82nd street to the Nickel Plate Trail. If this is something you would want them to do, they’re asking for letters of support on why this would be awesome.

East Coast Transplants Rejoice

The first Wawa in Indiana is coming to Indy next year — and it’s right outside of Fishers! And this isn’t the only one. They’re planning to build 8-12 of these bad boys every year until we have 60 of them throughout the state. As of right now, none are planned with a Fishers zip code, but that’s likely going to change. Watch the groundbreaking on YouTube.

Sit Still is the newest salon to open at Keystone Mall specializing in hair cuts, and also making kids sit still. According to their website, there’s an individual tablet at each station, toys, and games to help occupy the littles.

There are also parent perks: “when your child is entertained, you can sit still with a cold brew or rose.” UM, YES. You can book those summer cuts here.
