The HSE teachers who won the district’s top honor 🎉

Mr. Teal accepting his award as District Teacher of the Year!
We have our Teacher of the Year! From the group of nominees, three finalists emerged:
> Elementary Finalist: Dorothy Wellman, 4th Grade Teacher, Sand Creek Elementary
🏆️ Intermediate/Junior High Finalist & HSES District Teacher of the Year: Michael Teal, 5th Grade STEM Teacher, Fall Creek Intermediate
> High School Finalist: Matt Dunham, Math Teacher, Hamilton Southeastern High School
Congratulations to every building honoree for keeping curiosity on tap and being great teachers. Here is the list of every school building’s Teacher of the Year.
Mr. Teal will move on to represent us and take a run at the Indiana Teacher of the Year.
How to avoid a speeding ticket in the mail 📬
The warning phase is officially over. Anyone clocked 11 mph+ by speed cameras on I-465/I-69 in the marked areas will get a letter from INDOT.
The system:
First offense: a warning.
Second time: $75.
Third (and every one after): $150.
How it works: Trucks parked in the zone use radar to time your speed. If you’re too quick, a camera snaps your rear plate, a human double‑checks the data, and the notice hits your mailbox. Signs on both ends of the worksite warn you it’s happening, and crews must be present for tickets to stick.
A Remodel You Can Count On*
Good morning, Fishers! I’m Monte Fields: weekend wood‑shop tinkerer and full‑time kitchen‑and‑bath remodeler.
Master‑grade tilers are rare; that’s our specialty. If you want a remodel built as a keepsake, not a quick flip, here’s what I promise:
Providing you a workmanship guarantee
Crews paid for craft, not speed
Respectful, dust‑controlled job sites
I’m waiving my usual $225 design‑proposal fee for Fishers Digest readers this month. I’ve set aside a few slots. First come, first served. Apply here on our website and fill out our form, or call me at (765) 585-8110.

Local Business
Gas Week!!?⛽️
According to GasBuddy, the cheapest gas in Fishers is around $3.15. In my experience, Kroger is usually on the expensive side.
BUT! That changes starting 8 am today through May 13th.
Regular, mid‑grade, premium, even diesel will be flowing at 20 cents off per gallon at Kroger’s brand new fuel center on 116th/Allisonville Road. It even stacks with your normal rewards too, so potential to save even more.
Here is the address for your convenience: 11673 Allisonville Rd, Fishers, IN, 46038
Geist Coffee Upgrades 📈

Geist Coffee has a fresh new look.
They took the shop from cozy ski lounge vibe with themed decorations to → coastal, yet still cozy with water themed decorations. They still boast a best-in-class gigantic table (if you can snag it), which is amazing for families or bigger meetings. Their coffee, of course, is great too. I recommend an Americano here! 🔥
Geist Coffee is a part of our last year’s “Best Coffee Shop Guide”, where readers voted for your favorite shops.
This rebrand has me thinking. Should we do an updated Fishers Coffee Trail?
Coffee Trail. Yay or Nay?We will poll readers again and update our web page. It will be interesting if there are any changes. |
