The wait is almost over! The new Meijer Grocery Store will open September 30.

A Meijer Express fuel station will open adjacent to the store on September 2, for quick stops, beverages and snacks or prepared food on the go. Last month a Citizens State Bank location was proposed on 116th Street near Kroger on Olio Road. However, City Council members had some concerns especially when it came to traffic on 116th Street, the drive-thru, etc. 

Changes were made, the biggest one being the removal of the bank’s drive-thru, and the Fishers Plan Commission gave it a favorable recommendation at the August 5 meeting.

The favorable recommendation was unanimously approved and the rezone request is expected to go in front of the Fishers City Council August 17. 

LIV Golf returns to Westfield August 20–23, when they’ll crown the new LIV Golf Individual Champion at Chatham Hills.

You can still purchase tickets, so you can roam the course for grass-level views of the action before fueling up with premium food and drinks in the Fan Village. Kids 12 & under do not need a Grounds Pass ticket with an accompanying adult ticket. Your ticket also includes post-round concerts.

AgriPark Campout weekends are set for mid-October, and registration is now open. The 33-acre working, urban farm will welcome families and groups for this overnight campout event under the stars.

Group registration (up to 6 people) includes a 25-foot by 25-foot grass area, personal fire pit, a movie in the park, games and activities, and a continental breakfast the following morning.
