Olio & Southeastern Construction

The City of Fishers is reconstructing the roundabout at Southeastern Parkway and Olio Road to improve safety and traffic flow at one of the region’s busiest intersections, and it starts this week.

To kick off the construction, the roundabout will remain open with no restrictions; however, Olio Road will be reduced to one lane southbound.

Here you can follow along with construction updates, detours and more on this project.

Development Updates

Story Cottage

If you were looking forward to learning more about the proposed Curio Collection by Hilton hotel planned for Fishers District, you'll have to wait a little longer. The proposal was pulled from last week's Planned Unit Development Committee agenda and is now expected to be reviewed at the committee's August meeting. I'll be keeping an eye on it and will share the latest details once it's back on the agenda.

While plans for the new hotel were not discussed, the memory care facility on Brooks School Road and the Fishers Fieldhouse were both approved. Next, both of these properties will go before the Technical Advisory Committee where staff will work with the petitioners to address any concerns raised by either staff or board members.

Free Chick-fil-A

What would you be willing to do for some free Chick-fil-A? Would you dress up like a cow? If so, mark July 14 on your calendar for Cow Appreciation Day.

What: Dress like a cow, and get a free entrée from the Cow Appreciation Day Menu. Stop by the store, snap a photo, and enter for a chance to win free Chick-fil-A for a year!
When: Tuesday, July 14 from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Where: In person at Chick-fil-A Saxony

FCC Improvements

Memberships for the dog park at the Fishers Event Center are sold out (you can still join the waitlist), even though it has not yet opened. After failing to have grass grow properly, the Board of Public Works and Safety voted to have sod installed before the fall open date.

A new rooftop exercise studio was also approved, and construction will hopefully begin this fall. You can read more about the improvements to the FCC including funding information here.
