The Digest

24 hour pickleball in Fishers opens soon

On Feb 15th, 24/7 Dink will hold their grand opening 🎉 There is no membership here. It’s all pay as you play based on when you go. A 2 am session will be a little cheaper than 6 pm. It also looks like you can pre-buy “DINK Dollars” at discounts.

You will find them at 12520 E 116th St, Fishers, IN 46037

💡 Fun Fact: With this opening, three old Marsh buildings in Fishers that shutdown in 2017 are being used again:

  1. The new Kroger Marketplace that just opened up on 116th/Allisonville Road (the old building was demo’d)

  2. H/H Fieldhouse, a basketball gym on 96th Street

  3. 24/7 Dink, the one on 116th/Brookschool Road

It took 8 years, but cool to see us get here.

Money Snacks 💵

It’s been one month of Money Snacks - a new series I started that highlights how people and businesses approach money in Hamilton County.

So far, I’ve published three people stories, one business story. You can read, participate, and learn more about the program on my website if this is your first time seeing this!

What do you think? Should I keep publishing them? Do you like reading them? Any improvements to make?

Local Business

101 Beer Craft Kitchen

If you see the sign coming down at The Yard for our local 101 Beer… I mean Craft Kitchen. Don’t worry - they are not going out of business. They’re changing their name.

Here is an excerpt from their announcement yesterday on why?

5 years ago, we attempted to solve an issue ahead of our Indiana store openings: inaccurate guest perception of our concept. 101 is a chef-owned family restaurant focused on seasonal, scratch-made, quality products. However, our teams field questions and comments daily like, “do you serve food?” “the food is actually really good, we thought it would be bar food!” “do you have 101 beers on tap?” “I thought you were a bar. I don’t drink, so I would have never come in!”

🥷 The Fishers Community Center will have a ninja course + AquaClimb wall

Fishers Community Center pricing is out in the wild now. You can view the pricing and amenities on their website, and decide if you want to pre-buy when that option opens on Feb 10.

After looking at what you get with a membership, two things stood out as potentially awesome for kids:

1️⃣ A 12 ft AquaClimb wall. Which the company who makes them says is safer than a diving board (and arguably cooler).

2️⃣ A NinjaCross System. If you’ve seen the show American Ninja Warrior, it looks exactly like that over the pool. The only one in central Indiana.

State of the City 🟢 🔵

If you’re cool with no lunch being provided, there are still some no-lunch tickets available for this year’s Fishers State of the City luncheon. Features Mayor Fadness, where he will speak on his vision for the city. I would be surprised if there weren’t some cool insights
