Renderings of the new multi-purpose building
Fishers is investing $800k in the Fishers AgriPark to get closer to your food’s roots. If you’re unfamiliar, The Fishers AgriPark is a 33-acre urban farm open to all where you can harvest your own produce. They plan to add:
Indoor restrooms (finally).
A programming hub for workshops, field trips, and community events.
A country store to stock up on local goodies and seasonal treats.
Construction will wrap up May 2025, just in time for summer crowds, with the store opening later.
Soon you can come for the corn, stay for the coffee shop 😂
A regular person’s POV on the event center
I had the opportunity to go to the Fishers Event Center for the Lindsey Stirling concert last week. I felt compelled to blog a few of my thoughts on the Fishers Digest website.
So if you’re also compelled, you can read them here.
#GivingTuesday 💗
Today is Giving Tuesday and it’s a great time to donate to a cause you care about. And if you can’t make a monetary donation, a simple act of kindness will do.
Here are 50 random acts of kindness you might consider, things like visiting a lonely neighbor, offering a stranger help, or simply paying someone a compliment.
Want to do more? Here are some local places who would love your support:
Show our our 22 local schools and teachers some love by making a donation to Hamilton Southeastern Education Foundation
Support hunger relief efforts in our local area by giving to Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank
Contribute to the Humane Society for Hamilton County, one of very few open-admission, no-kill shelters in Indiana
Play trivia at Ale Emporium to support the MDFF
Tired of overpaying for insurance?*
Thanks, Perplexity!
The AI overlords have spoken — if you’re annoyed with how much you pay in home + auto insurance, you need to shop around. So you have two options:
Do the miserable work of reading your 20+ page insurance policy and shop around yourself
Work with an independent insurance agent who will do that for you
No brainer, right?
Luke Cathcart is the independent insurance agent who works for you. Not the companies. So check up on your wallet, and let Luke give you a free policy review. No strings attached. Call or text anytime (317) 225-6105.

The Happenings
Your week preview 📆
Learn how to make an ornament 🎄
Everyday this week, you can head to the Fishers library at anytime to pickup a self-guided ornament making kit. Later this month, they’ll include paper origami gift boxes. Learn more.
A candlelight ceremony 🕯️
The 4th annual Angel of Hope Candlelight Ceremony will take place this week on Dec. 6, from 6:15-7 pm at Heritage Park. This is a free event hosted by the Fishers Parks Foundation to remember lost children. There will be a candlelight procession followed by a reading of names.
Shop local art markets this month
Fishers Arts Council is hosting a series of Winter Art Markets at Sun King (9713 District N. Dr., Suite 1220) on Dec. 5, 12 and 19 from 6-9 pm. Each day features different local artists selling fine art, jewelry, kids toys, and more.
Shop, grab a brew, and don’t miss your free photo op with Santa, who will be hanging outside at the Fishers District during the same time.
The kids will love this unique character experience happening over the next two weekends (12/7-8 & 12/14-15). Decorate cookies with the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who at the Historic Ambassador House. There will be games and other fun, too. The cost is $15 for Fishers residents, but you must preregister here (kids 2 and under are free).
Local Business
Max & Tilly’s is now open 🇬🇧
Downtown Fishers has a new type of food for you to enjoy: classic British fare. You’ll find them at the First Internet Bank building with plenty of parking in the garage behind the restaurant. See pro tip below.
Their hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 11 am-9 pm, and Sunday, 12 pm-7 pm, closed on Mondays. We are excited to try the 🐟️ and 🥔!
💡 Pro tip: When driving here, I find turning south on Lantern road the easiest way to get to the parking garage. It’s not obvious to me if there is an easier way.
aaaand fun fact: The owner’s used to have a tea shop here called “Tilly’s Tea Room” — named after her daughter. Max is their son’s name. A nice way to round it out. Neat!

Construction This Week
I am considering giving this weekly section the axe 🪓 At least during the winter. Everything slows down and it would save your inbox some space. Anyone have a problem with that?
Avalon and Meadowbrook will be getting sidewalk repairs this week
You can check out the full Fishers construction report for this week here.
