The Digest
IU Fishers who dis
Name change. IU Health Saxony → IU Health Fishers. Over $300m is being spent to upgrade the grounds. The $ is going towards a whole new wing. Complete with a women’s focused area, neurology, ICU and more. The project and official name change should happen by 2025. This is a direct response to the growth of Fishers. View the renderings here.
Crunching the numbers
If you love numbers and are curious about what it takes to run a city. This one’s for you. Fishers has released their salary ordinance for 2024. Of note: city employees will receive a 5% raise. There are a few new roles added.
Nets and restaurant approved
The materials around Gray Eagle are ready to be put to use. City council approved towering nets* and a new building/restaurant. The building will feature 22 driving bays for golfers to enjoy. With a Chicken n’ Pickle coming, a basketball facility, and the Indy fuel coming to Fishers — sports are in and growing.

Brought to you by Bright Cellars
Wine is tricky. Wouldn't it be great to have a personal sommelier tell you exactly which wines you'll like and what to pair them with? One problem. Not many of us can afford to add a French sommelier to our payroll.
But we can afford Bright Cellars—a monthly wine club that sends you wines based on your palate. You will take a 30-second quiz, and boom. Personalized wine recommendations.
Then they'll send you six bottles perfectly matched to your taste. Each wine will have an education card with serving temperature, food pairings, growing region, and pronunciation (so you sound like a pro saying Xinomavro at your next barbecue).
When you're done, rate the bottle so Bright Cellars gets even better next time. And if you don't like a bottle, they'll make it right in your next box.
So try Bright Cellars today — Fishers Digest readers get 50% off their first box.

Insurance made simple with Luke Cathcart
Your wallet is crying. The economy sucks, but that’s not why. At least 62% of Americans overpay for just car insurance. Add home, renters, umbrella, and… you get the point. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Luke Cathcart is the independent insurance agent who works for you. Not the companies. So check up on your wallet, and let Luke give you a free policy review. No strings attached. Get started.
Quick hits
Euchre. If you’re from Indiana, you should probably know how to play this game. After all, we are in the “Euchre belt”. Every now and then, an event or tournament will pop up locally to play. Here’s a quick 10-minute guide to get you going.
Eight new Fishers officers. On Monday’s city council meetings, Police Chief Ed Gebhart swore in 8 new officers.
Racing capital of the world. Sometimes hilarious conversations happen on Facebook, like why residents try improving their lap times on roundabouts in Wranglers. These speed demons are proooobably the same reason Fishers is extending the 25 mph west downtown. And why Fishers has 8 new officers. JK.
