2026 Fishers State of the City

Mayor Fadness honors Senator Kyle Walker to kick things off.

Tuesday afternoon I got to attend the 2026 Fishers State of the City Luncheon and hear from Mayor Scott Fadness on the latest updates and vision for the city.

He talked about service over leadership when it’s needed, what he believes makes a great city and also what keeps him up at night. He ended the presentation speaking about Hailey Buzbee and honoring her with a moment of silence.

Here are a few things he talked about that were new or updates to me:

  • The new Target at Saxony will be opening in 2027.

  • The Cadillac Formula One Team headquarters will be opening at the end of 2026.

  • A luxury lifestyle hotel is going in at the Crossing at Fishers District in 2027 (where the Chicken N Pickle was originally planned for).

  • New medical businesses are opening at Exit 210.

  • There are now over 13,000 members at the new Fishers Community Center and almost 54,000 free community passes have been downloaded.

You can watch the presentation in its entirety here, and get more details on the topics I mentioned above and so much more.

Puppy Love

Okay, this Valentine’s gift is perfect for the dog lover in your life. You’re welcome.

The Indiana Canine Assistant Network is having their annual fundraiser where their service dogs in training deliver a Valentine’s box, full of locally made Indiana treats, to your door. The dogs show off their tricks and you can get some snuggles and photos.

You have to place your order by February 6th, and then choose February 11th or 12th for your delivery in the Indy area, including Fishers.

This Valentine’s gift is not only adorable, but meaningful. All proceeds support ICAN’s mission to place service dogs with Indiana adults, children, and Veterans living with disabilities, empowering them to live more independent, confident lives.

Pickleball Changes

Have you played pickleball at 24/7 Dink? It’s been one year since 24/7 Dink opened its doors, and now it’s becoming Indianapolis Pickleball Club North.

Here’s What’s Changing:

• The facility currently known as 24/7 DINK will become Indianapolis Pickleball Club North
• To avoid disruption during peak indoor season, the facility will continue operating as 24/7 DINK in the short term
• A full IPC rebrand will begin June 1, 2026
• There will be no interruption to play leading up to this transition
• As part of the transition, IPC North will move to CourtReserve, the scheduling and community platform used at all IPC locations.

Indianapolis Pickleball Club has two other locations, East and South.

Max & Tilly’s Closing It’s Doors

Max & Tilly’s Chip Shop and Eatery, has closed it’s doors. The British-inspired restaurant was located right off of 116th Street in downtown Fishers.
