Tuesday Concert Lineup Announced

Free Tuesday concerts in Fishers have become a tradition and this summer’s lineup was just announced.

The concerts are Tuesdays in June and July and start at 7 p.m. at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. You can bring lawn chairs and blankets, pack a picnic and cooler, or enjoy local food trucks. One thing we’ve enjoyed doing before the concert is walking the Nickel Plate Trail and having dinner at King Jugg, because kids eat free on Tuesdays, and then go to the concert.

One of the internet’s favorite golf course cocktails, the Water Hazard, mixes Barkeep Vodka with blue Gatorade, a splash of lemonade, and Sprite for an ultra refreshing drink perfect for the course, the pool, or any warm weather hangout.

It’s light, smooth, and easy to make for a crowd. One sip and you might start wondering… is it too smooth? 🍸

Explore more cocktail ideas and recipes on the Barkeep Vodka Website—and find a bottle at your local grocery or liquor store.

Summer Reading Program For All Ages

Remember the days of reading all summer with Book It and being able to win a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut? If that was your thing, you’ll want to check out HEPL’s Unearth a Story reading challenge.

Our library has a summer reading challenge for all ages where you can log reading and activities from June 2 – July 31 to earn points and prizes. You can sign up here. If you want to encourage your little one to read more this would be a great program, plus you could do it right alongside them.

The Fishers Library will have an outdoor party on May 30 to celebrate the start of Summer Reading with food, a dance party, yard games, and activities for all ages.

Saturday’s Triathlon & Traffic Impacts

The Fishers Sprint Triathlon powered by FAST will take place Saturday, May 16, beginning at 7:30 a.m. at Geist Waterfront Park. Participants will compete in swimming, biking, and running events throughout the Geist area. Motorists should expect temporary road impacts and brief delays along portions of the race course during the morning hours, with bike course closures expected through approximately 9 a.m. and run course impacts through approximately 9:45 a.m.

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead, use caution when traveling near the event, and consider alternate routes when possible. View course maps and event details here.

Mayor Fadness Joins Get IN. with Nate Spangle
