Good Tuesday Morning. This is Fishers Digest. It’s the holidays and no secret The Well is our favorite coffee shop (and most reader’s too). So I want to buy you a coffee. For the first five people who reply to this email. Just tell me what you want, when you want it, and I’ll place the order for you to pick up ☕️ All I ask in return is you pay it forward in kindness to someone this week!

In today’s digest:

  • Last century club meeting 2024

  • Indy Fuel Crowds 🤌

  • Where to find Santa + lights

  • Construction report

This issue is 1,309 words, a 4-minute read.

The Digest

Last Century Club Meeting of 2024 🤝

The Fishers Century Club is rallying men who want to make a difference in Fishers for their last quarterly meeting of the year. So far, they’ve been able to make this impact locally:

  • $3300 for the Fifty Club of Fishers

  • $2950 for Shop for Kids

  • $3450 for Smoking Pastor Project

  • Tonight = ???

The process is fun. Each member brings $100 to donate. That $100 is a ticket to submit a charity you think the group should support. Three are randomly chosen from a hat to get a pitch to the group. After a vote, the winning charity or organization gets the proceeds 💰

It's a simple way to make a big impact and meet new people. I’ll be joining and you should too tonight at 5:30 pm @ The Club 9800 Crosspoint Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46256

First win + Teddy Bear Toss

The Indy Fuel sold out their inaugural game last Friday… and lost. Same story for the following game on Saturday… which can only mean one thing….

This Friday is the next opportunity to see the Fuel win their first ever game at the new Event Center 🔥 It’s also the first Teddy Bear Toss. Bring a stuffed toy to toss on the ice when the Fuel score their first point. All toys will then be donated to local charities.

900 hours of flight time 🧑‍✈️

That’s how many hours the Fishers Police Department has spent this year flying drones. They use them for everything. Finding missing people, vehicles, even suspects. Like last May, when they used a heat-seeking drone to find someone hiding after a 100mph chase and crash.

One more thing: The FPD does such a great job with their social media. It’s worth a follow. It’s not your typical police page. They dress officers up as Buddy the elf and do collabs with the Oscar Mayer Weiner Mobile. Lmao. It’s awesome. Link to their page.
