Bridging the Gap

If you have been on the Nickel Plate Trail you’ve likely stopped at busy 96th Street, but the new pedestrian bridge is now open so you can continue on into Indianpolis. The completion of the 96th Street Bridge is now part of the 16.82-mile Nickel Plate Trail from Noblesville to Indianapolis.

It’s going to be in the 60’s & 70’s this weekend and might be the perfect time to check it out.

Rita’s Ice Back Open

I know we had snow earlier this week, but it looks like warmer temps ahead and just in time for the warm up, Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard is back open for the season.

This seasonal walk-up spot serves daily, fresh-made Italian ice, frozen custard, “gelati” and more. Check out their menu here.

Their location is right off the Nickel Plate Trail, which makes for a convenient treat after a walk or ride.
