Local Spotlight
👋Meet Brooke

Meet Brooke Daniel, Teacher in Residence at the Fishers AgriPark, where the farm is her classroom in the Farm 2 Table program that all second-grade HSE students participate in.
Students visit the AgriPark in the fall, winter, and spring, and each visit they get an experiential learning opportunity on the farm that correlates to what they are studying in science.
One of her favorite parts of her job is getting to give students the opportunity to see agriculture and science through a different lens.

“The most rewarding part of the work I do is when I see students making real connections to what they are learning and knowing that they truly were able to see 'why' they learned what they did. When students are out for their third study trip and I reference something we've talked about months prior and they see how everything they've learned throughout the year is connected - it's really something special,” Brooke said.
Today is Earth Day and to celebrate on Friday, April 24, the AgriPark is having an Arbor Day Celebration + Tree Giveaway from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. There will be free saplings, a craft, and storywalk.
If Brooke had a free day in Fishers she would take advantage of the outdoors and walk on the Nickel Plate Trail, grab lunch on a patio downtown, snag a sweet treat, go on a walk through the Fishers Art Center, and make a pit stop at the farmers market if it's a Saturday.
