Fishers Freight

The Fishers Freight kick-off their second season with a home opener this Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Fishers Event Center. If you didn’t make it to a game last year it’s definitely worth checking out, especially if you are a football/sports fan.

The games are fast-paced with big hits, and an atmosphere that brings fans right into the action. They have a saying; “If a you catch a ball in the stands you can keep it, but if you catch a player you have to throw him back.” Check out my experience at a game last year.

The rules are much different than in the NFL, for example you can score a “deuce”. Check out more terms and rules ahead of the home opener here.

Fishers residents can score discounted tickets for the home opener and be apart of the excitement. Grab your discounted tickets here.

Save the Date: City Recycling Day

2026 Spring Recycling Day is Saturday, March 28 from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Billericay Park. This is a popular bi-annual event where residents can bring items, for free, to be recycled or shredded.

Before heading to the event, check here to see what items are accepted.

The HamCo Hubway

Do you like to be outside when the temps get warmer like they were this week? If so, I want to introduce you to a resource that breaks down the trails in Fishers, Carmel, Noblesville and Westfield, the HamCo Hubway.

You can download their trail map here that highlights access points, connecting trails, photo ops, and places to stop along the way.

Want to explore a new trail? Check out this interactive trail finder map, that shows you all the trails in Fishers and beyond and gives you information like the distance, photos of the trail, trailhead information, and more.

With spring and summer coming, keep this resource available for the next time you want to get active outdoors.

Kids Eat Free

If you’re like me, you love a good deal, and when the kids can eat for free, that’s a great deal. Here’s a list of some restaurants in Fishers and beyond where kids eat free. Which is your favorite?
